VCES’s History
The company’s roots date back to 1991, when Východočeská stavební s.r.o., Solnice, was founded. Later on, the company spread its business activities with the purchase of the shares of several transformed companies (PREMING a.s. Chrudim, Vodohospodářské stavby, a.s., Hradec Králové). This laid the foundation for Východočeská stavební skupina (East Bohemian construction group) - which later became the VCES group.
From 1 January 1997 Východočeská stavební skupina comprised of Východočeská stavební a.s. south group Pardubice, Východočeská stavební a.s. north group Hradec Králové, Východočeská stavební s.r.o. Solnice, Vodohospodářské stavby, a.s., Hradec Králové, PREMING a.s. Chrudim, PORT Rychnov nad Kněžnou s.r.o., DAFOSS a.s. Solnice and Inženýrská stavební technologie s.r.o. Pardubice.
In the course of 2000, the company’s logotype name was unified as a formal declaration of affiliation with the VCES construction group, comprising formally independent legal entities which submit their own tax returns.
The names of companies and their seats have been selected to keep their original spheres of business within the Czech Republic, so the VCES group was represented in individual strategic regions.
In the light of the unification process in the whole Europe and, in particular, the Czech Republic’s accession to the EU, the necessity to be uniformly presented not only on the Czech but also European construction market became a priority. At the end of 2003, the so far legally independent companies of the group were dissolved and they currently function as branches of a single legal entity - VCES a.s.
A successful restructuring completed the efforts focused on the creation of a significant and strong player in the field of civil engineering. The company’s key branches still maintain their influence in their existing home territories. The parent company VCES HOLDING s.r.o. is currently the sole shareholder of VCES a.s.. It complements the group’s business activities especially in the field of development projects
