VCES has completed new head office building for Komerční banka
One of the key projects completed by VCES before the end of 2012 was successfully handed over to the user - Komerční banka. The new office building situated in Stodůlky will become part of an emerging Prague municipal district CITY WEST.
On Friday 15 June 2012, VCES, FINEP and Komerční banka introduced the new premises to reporters. The new building in Stodůlky will be the fourth one among the buildings Komerční banka intends to use as its head offices in the future. However, the new building will offer something more besides modern offices - an efficient construction friendly to the environment as well as its occupants.
"VCES has confirmed its ability to design and carry out innovative technical solutions and, thanks to its close co-operation with the client, to obtain a BREEAM certificate at the VERY GOOD level. The new head office building for Komerční banka has therefore become one of the first projects in the Czech Republic to fulfil all conditions to be awarded this environmental certificate," said Ludovic Duplan, regional director for Central Europe of Bouygues Bâtiment International and member of the Board of Directors of VCES a.s.
The building will house approximately 1200 employees of KB, KB Factoring and KB Pension Fund. The total floor area of 17,000 sq m will provide the employees with modern offices, relaxation zones, shops and services.
Construction of the new head office building of Komerční banka, which is owned by the French financial group Société Générale, was launched in September 2010. FINEP together with VCES won the tender with the architectural design created by AHK Architekti s.r.o. For the Design&Build project, the architects created an ideal combination of an easily accessible locality, a direct connection to the subway and an attractive architectural design. A key success factor was the ability of VCES technical department to offer our client effective solutions optimizing the project already in its design stage.
