The new multi-purpose sports hall with parameters suitable for extra-league volley-ball is situated next to the school building located in wider centre of town. Complementing the school complex it will serve to local sportsmen as well as school children. The hall with rectangular ground plan measuring 54.25 x 35.27 m is based on foundation belts. The skeleton is formed by a supporting steel structure with jacketing made of sandwich panels and arched roofing. The hall’s two-storey technical and service base features brick walls and a monolithic roof structure with spirol ceiling panelling. It houses the dressing rooms, a sauna, a gym, a buffet, the caretaker’s flat, VIP area and machine rooms. Platforms with 323 seats were also part of the project. The double spring-loaded board flooring is of the highest quality. The gym is connected with the school building via dressing rooms that were completely reconstructed. Before the start of construction, it was necessary to relay many utility lines. Due to the limited construction site, the prevailing part of construction was carried out inside the gym. This required a thorough preparation and coordination of the entire project.
