VCES PD Grand Prix 2010 has been started

Competition for future architects has been announced by PROJECT WELLNEROVA s.r.o. in cooperation with the faculties of architecture of Czech Technical University in Prague and Brno University of Technology and with media support of Stavitel magazine. The future generation of architects is facing the task to suggest the most suitable interior design of flat with three rooms and kitchen corner. The designer of the best draft will be elected by a special jury composed of organizer representatives and architectural specialists. The winner will obtain a financial prize in February next year.

„We consider partnership with technical universities very important for our working," said Jiří Ratajský, the executive head of PPROJEKT WELLNEROVA s.r.o. "This competition is one of the possible form of cooperation. Students can use the opportunity to get close to the real project and join it. On the other hand, the company has a chance to identify budding designers, architects and construction engineers to extend its team," added Ratajský.

The students will design the apartment which is a part of six-storey building in the centre of Olomouc. It consists of forty apartments, thirty-one commercial spaces and garages with sixty-three parking spaces. It has been growing since November 2009.
