The largest part of the new sewerage was completed in Slavonín and Neminaly districts including 14,849 m of sewwer mains and 9,324 m of connections. The traditional excavation method was mainly used in the reconstruction and extension of sewer system (up to the depth of 6,5 m), and trenchless technologies, sych as slip-sliding of stoneware pipes, tunneling and boring with non-mechanized driving shield were applied in areas with busy traffic. Pipes with a diameter of 300 up to 1400 mm were used. In addition to environmental benefits, the project also created conditions for new housing projects and for further industrial devlopement of the town in line with the town developement plan. The project was co-financed by the European Union, the State Environmental Fund of Czech Republic and the statutory town of Olomouc.
