Description:

The upgrading of the waste water treatment plant increased the capacity of the waste water treatment plant to 50,000 equivalent inhabitants which allowed it to cover the future needs of industry in town and connection to other neighbouring villages. The original activation tanks were rebuilt into denitrification ones with hyperboloid stirring gear and regeneration of sediment with the help of subtle aeration. The waste water is pumped from the denitrification tanks to new activation tanks with fine-bubble aeration. A new stirring room located in the basement of the plant is also part of the facility. New technical equipment was installed in the sedimentation tanks and digesters; new thickening equipment and a new separator were added. A new membrane biogas collector which is then used in the cogeneration unit which generates power needed in the waste water treatment plant was also installed.
